The Recipe Book contains the following standard measurements:
Alchemists are experts at grinding and crushing their components into a usable form.
Each potion must be stirred thoroughly before use. When stirring a potion, roll 2D6 and consult the table below:
| Roll | Result |
|---|---|
| 2–3 | Potion explodes. Alchemist loses 1 Body Point. If in-game, the bench is wrecked and no more potions may be mixed. If out-of-game, the workshop fills with noxious gas and no more potions may be mixed until after the next game. |
| 4–7 | Potion is successfully mixed and ready to use. |
| 8–9 | Potion is too potent. Once diluted, it yields two batches. These are pre-measured for dosage. |
| 10 | Potion is extremely potent. Once diluted, it yields three batches. These are pre-measured for dosage. |
| 11–12 | Potion fizzles out. All components are wasted. |
