Armor restrictions are not assumed. If the armor has no restriction, then that means anyone can use it. Examples of common restrictions:
Can only be used by Heavy Fighters.
Cannot be used by Non-proficiency characters.

Body Armor

Elven Mithril Armor
This finely crafted suit of silver plate mail allows the wearer to roll 5 extra combat die in defense. Unlike normal Plate Mail, this silver ultralight armor does not slow down it's wearer.
May not be used by Non-proficiency characters.

Coat of Brilliance
This light chain mail armor gives you 4 combat die in defense, or 5 combat die if you are being attacked by an undead creature. This armor may only be used by a character of "good" alignment, and when worn by a Paladin, you always roll 5 extra die, as well as allowing the Paladin to raise the "Turn Undead" prayer twice per game at no cost.
May not be used by Non-proficiency characters.

Gold Chain Mail
This ultralight armor gives you 4 extra combat die in defense, makes the user impervious to acid spells and attacks, and may be combined with other armor.
May not be used by Non-proficiency characters.

Armor of Fortune
This enchanted suit of ring mail gives you 3 extra combat die in defense. It has a special magical quality as well. If you roll a bad defend roll, twice per game it will allow you to ignore your first roll and reroll your defense once per turn.
May not be used by Non-proficiency characters.

Flame Armor
This finely crafted chain mail gives you 4 extra combat die in defense. It also gives you one extra red die (D6) in defense to all fire attacks (FireStorm, Ball of Flame, Dragon Flame, etc.).
May not be used by Non-proficiency characters.

Bilbo's Heroes Cloak
This cloak was given to Bilbo Baggens by King Under the Mountain, Thoren Oakenshield. It was made by the Dwarven smiths and altered so that it can only be worn by the Gnome. It is light mithril ring mail and gives the Gnome 4 extra combat die in defense.

Cloaks

Cloak of Scintillating Colors
This Holy cloak may only be worn by a clergyman, and it glows with the light of their deity. When worn, this sacred artifact gives the clergyman 2 extra defend die, as well as raising their prayer rolls by 1. No character in possession of a sacred artifact may be cursed.
